Palm Jumeirah is the smallest of the projected three Palm Islands; This project was completed in 2007. It is a man-made island which was built in the shape of palm tree. All of the Shoreline buildings are named after different types of dates, such as Sultana, Khudrawi etc. consists of three parts; the trunk, fronds and Crescent and extends 6.5 kilometers into the Arabian Gulf. Palm Jumeirah is the first project of Palm Island that was completed in 2007 and is known to provide outstanding accommodation to many different nationalities. The island is in close proximity to the main coast of Dubai, making it easy for residents to access shopping malls and various other facilities. Besides being a premier tourism ‘Hub’, the Palm is also considered as the eighth wonder of the world.
